Relativity's Rogue and AMC Theatres® Announce 'Big Break Movie Contest' Finalists

Movie fans can vote for their favorite trailer on the Big Break website, Winning film will be released in 50 AMC® theatres nationwide this Spring,

LOS ANGELES, March 1, 2011 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Relativity Media's Rogue and AMC Theatres announced today their finalists for The Big Break Movie Contest. The Contest provides filmmakers with previously undistributed feature-length films the opportunity to obtain exclusive on-screen distribution throughout the United States.

Submissions were accepted through Oct. 15, 2010, and after months of careful review, the judges selected two finalists that met the required criteria. The finalists are:

Professional trailers for THAT SIDE OF A SHADOW and COST OF A SOUL have been created and debut online today at iamROGUE.com/bigbreak. Public voting, which the judges will consider in their final decision, stays open until March 7.

The esteemed panel of judges includes actress Kate Bosworth, Relativity's CEO Ryan Kavanaugh, AMC Theatres' Vice President of Specialty and Alternative Content Nikkole Denson-Randolph, Relativity's President of Worldwide Production Tucker Tooley, and YouTube's "Beyond the Trailer" creator Grace Randolph.

"We were astounded by the quality of material that was sent into us and it was difficult to pick the finalists," said Kavanaugh. "Rogue has always stood for doing it your way, breaking the mold. We are always looking for ways to support and embrace new and inspired talent who dare to do it their way. That's exactly what this contest is about."

The winning film will be announced on March 10th and will be released across the country in 50 AMC theatres as part of the AMC independent™ program. The release is tentatively set for April.
