Happy birthday to Harkins means gifts for movie-goers - East Valley Tribune: Get Out

Arizona’s homegrown theater chain turns 78 this year. To celebrate, Harkins Theatres is thanking customers with free movies and free soda upgrades and refills.

Select films will screen for free through Thursday, Sept. 15, at Harkins’ Arizona Mills 25 (“Fast Five,” “X-Men: First Class”), Chandler Fashion 20 (“Soul Surfer,” “The Adjustment Bureau”), Santan Village 16 (“Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” “The Lincoln Lawyer”), Superstition Springs 25 (“Soul Surfer,” “Limitless”) and Tempe Marketplace 16 (“X-Men: First Class,” “Super 8”) theaters. Showtimes are available at www.HarkinsTheatres.com.

All Harkins locations will upgrade any size regularly priced fountain drink to the next largest size for free Sept. 16-29. The deal includes one free refill on large and extra-large size drinks.

(Free medium popcorn is available through Sept. 15 at all Harkins Theatres with a previously published coupon.)

Opened at the height of the Great Depression in Tempe, Harkins Theatres now operates 30 theatres and more than 420 screens in five states.
