Cooper's Phone Call Break-Up - Female First

Bradley Cooper was left heartbroken on a dream holiday to Peru after his girlfriend dumped him over the phone during the trip.

The Hangover star ventured to the South American country when he was younger, but the getaway turned sour when he failed to acclimatise to the tropical environmental and needed an oxygen tank to aid his breathing.

And the holiday turned from bad to worse for Cooper when his then-girlfriend called him up - and dumped him over the crackly phone line.

He tells BBC Radio 1 host Fearne Cotton, "The worst one (relationship experience) was I was dumped overseas on a bad line of a telephone. I was in Peru with an oxygen tank because I hadn't acclimatised properly. "I was being dumped...

it was done like with a delay.

(She said), 'I'm happy on my own'.

I was in Peru with an oxygen tank because I hadn't acclimatised properly

'What, okay...' It was the worst". But Cooper, who is currently single, has no hard feelings towards his ex, adding "She's a sweetheart though".

Elsewhere in other news Bradley Cooper is determined to make a third Hangover film, insisting the comedy series needs to become a trilogy to "close it up".

The Hollywood hunk played teacher Phil in 2009's The Hangover, and reprised the role again for this year's (11) follow-up, The Hangover Part II.

And Cooper has called on director/producer Todd Phillips to make a third and final movie - as he's convinced a trilogy will help wrap up the characters' adventures.

Asked by BBC Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton whether he's keen to do another movie in the series, he replies, "Yes please, I hope so - can you write in? I'll do whatever Todd wants to do - he's the best, he's the greatest.

"I love Phil the character. I would do it in a heartbeat. There's gotta be a trilogy, you have to close it up. One more."

Cooper has also revealled that he "fought" for his role in Limitless after he was blown away by the "unbelievable" script.

The actor plays a man who can access 100 per cent of the brain's power in the action thriller, based on a book by author Alan Glynn.

Cooper loved the script as soon as he read it - and he did everything possible to ensure he landed the lead role.

He tells BBC Radio 1, "Instantly (I wanted the role) - I fought for it, I wanted to do it so badly. (Screenwriter) Leslie Dixon wrote an incredible script, an adaptation of a book called The Dark Fields by an Irish man named Alan Glynn. I loved it. The script just read like a house on fire, it was unbelievable.

"I thought, 'God, if anyone can ever capture that on film it'd be great'."
