The Conspirator

A trio of new theatrical posters have been released for movies of differing genres. For romantic moviegoers, we have the first poster for director Lone Sherfig 's ( An Education ) new movie, One Day . David Nicholls ( When Did You Last See Your Father? ) wrote the screenplay, which is adapted from his 2009 novel of the same name. The story follows Emma ( Anne Hathaway ) and Dexter ( Jim Sturgess ), who meet for the first time the night they both graduate from the University of Edinburgh, and then get together on the anniversary of that meeting every year for twenty years. Romola Garai , Rafe Spall and Ken Stott also star. One Day opens July 8th.

For sci-fi fans, a new poster for director Neil Burger 's ( The Illusionist ) new near-future thriller,. Based on the novel The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn , Limitless was adapted for the screen by Leslie Dixon ( The Heartbreak Kid ) and stars Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra, a writer who has just been dumped by his girlfriend ( Abbie Cornish ) and is struggling to complete his novel until a friend offers him an experimental drug called NZT that literally changes his life over night. The drug unlocks Eddie's full potential, making him smarter, more focused, and more confident, but it comes with a price—stop taking the drug and he will die. Eddie uses the drug to become highly successful, but he is being pursued by a business mogul ( Robert DeNiro ) who wants Eddie to work for him and by hitmen who want to recover the NZT. Anna Friel and Johnny Whitworth also star. Limitless opens March 18th.

And, finally, for fans of period dramas and conspiracy theories comes the first poster for The Conspirator , the first movie released by Joe Ricketts ' American Film Company. Written by James D. Solomon and directed by Robert Redford , The Conspirator takes place in the wake of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, when seven men and one woman are charged with conspiracy. A young Civil War hero-turned-lawyer ( James McAvoy ) reluctantly agrees to defend the accused female, Mary Surratt ( Robin Wright Penn ), and begins to think that she has only been charged to draw out her son, John Surratt ( Johnny Simmons ), who also accused of being a conspirator. The Conspirator premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in theaters on April 15th.
